Christmas with HOPE

We developed this event in 2007 and it has grown into a loved program for our community members; many of our ‘adopters’ have chosen a HOPE family each year since then as their tradition of giving back during the season.

With this; we are again dependent on donors to ‘adopt’ a family. In turn these incredible community members receive the family’s story, pictures and the family’s wish list.

Our Christmas program is designed as a bonus for hard working parents. We know as parents; will do whatever it takes to give their children Christmas; this is why HOPE of the Grand Valley’s desire is to make sure their children have Christmas and they have money to pay their bills come January.

Qualified and Approved families will receive gifts for their entire family as well as a grocery gift card or groceries for you Christmas dinner.
We want them to not stress over Christmas, and enjoy this season with their family.

How Families are Chosen

We are doing our best to fill the gap and helping our underemployed families that are not receiving other assistance.
Some of our requirements include:

1. Children under the age of 14 in your home fulltime.
2. At least one working adult in your family (most recent paystub required with application)
3. Do not receive food (SNAP), TANF or housing assistance because you make a little too much income
4. Each family will be screened and interviewed in the application process

***Medicaid, CHP+, CCAP recipients qualify as long as they meet requirements 1-3
